Just a quick update. my digital chaos is now random at ctopher.mydigitalchaos.blog. All the photos and text from the Did you know are loaded in random orders. If you refresh the page, it will look totally different. This has been a project that has been going on for a while now, and now it’s done.

While you are there, flip a coin, or check out how many seconds remain in today from any time zone. Who knows, you might learn something. Just be sure to come back to my blog so you can finish reading the whole thing. There is twelve pages of posts here. Surely there is something you will like, or find funny.

If nothing else, we could shock you for a few seconds. You know, if you don’t want to read the blog, then maybe we should give you a good jolt. Okay, maybe not. Maybe we will make you sit in the bathroom without a tv or mobile phone to keep you company and make you think quietly to yourself for ten minutes. That’s torture.

Come back for more.

Did You Know…

There is a whole page on my site devoted to did you know quips. But that isn’t what i want to talk about. This did you know is brought to you by the sky. Did you know that clouds can melt? Have the conditions ever been just right that you watch the very clouds melt right before your eyes?

It’s possible. I’ve seen it first hand. I guess if the conditions are just right, anything could be possible. While not everything is probable. There is a lot more that could be possible. Just keep that in mind. So my suggestion is you spend some time this summer watching the sky and see if you can spot any clouds melting away.

It’s quite a thing to see. Now if we could just make some of the problems we have melt like those clouds. Then life could be better for everyone. It’s possible. There would be new clouds to form, but even they are not permeant. Make the best of your life. Do the best you can with what you have. Don’t give up. Fight it up.

The Generation

The greatest minds of my generations have been nearly destroyed and wiped out. It seems that the effects of today’s society has broken the spirits of those that dare to dream. Few have survived the fall of grace from the table set so high that even robots couldn’t achieve status.

I’ve seen most people try. I’ve seen most of them fail too. As if somehow my generation was doomed before birth. It’s to the point that good people are scared to continue to try, they have been knocked down, beaten back, and kicked to the ground so many times that they don’t want any more failure.

Seems the only escape route there was is “Hair Styles of The Damned.” It’s unfortunate. Even so, some are brave enough to carry on. Don’t let the buggers get you down. Our future is a long road ahead. Waiting for something?

Some advice about Coffee Press. If you are anything like me, you likely brew some of your own coffee. One of the things that is important is using a good coffee press. It’s also important to do some maintenance with your coffee press to keep it brewing good coffee.

One of the important things to do is make sure the top of the press is kept clean. You would be surprised how much gunk gets deposited in the bottom of the top. More than you would think possible. Keep that press in good working order, and keep it up to snuff. That is to say, “Keep them clean.”

Enjoy that cup of coffee. Better yet, make mine like iced.

Poets

Poets are the light in a dark place, even when they dive into dark themes. -ctopher

In thinking about the power of poetry. It is not only the ability to define logic and reason, but it’s also conductive to making those who have lost hope, or feel worn out feel alive again. It can kindle fire’s of hope, and desire; however more importantly, it’s the light in dark times.

Sometimes we all lose our way. Sometimes we feel more lost than everyone else. Sometimes we can feel a mutual shared experience from seeing the same poetry and sympathize with not only the author, but also those who share the authors sentiments.

Burn

In our haste, we were too greedy to realize our loss. The day the books burned, the day the poetry was outlawed, was the day humanity was no longer human. That mystery of prose, that fancy of letters carefully crafted, was all that held the human race from regressing back to chimpanzees and emotional ameba.

The very things that make life worthy of having lived, should not be defined by your bank account balance, they are not the things you can find in a sports car. Those things are nice, but not as important as finding personal satisfaction for having taken the responsibility of a citizen and fighting for what’s best for everyone.

Today, we are faced with dilemmas that need the human mind to awaken. Rise from your slumber, and slumber no more. Without action, our future is as bleak as the day the books burned. Good Gods Urge, what kind of world do you want to live within? They couldn’t really be serious that they want mindless zombies with nothing of depth to rule chimpanzees that only dust the rocks and turn the sticks?

There has to be more meaning to life. Otherwise, of what good is living? Put value on meaning, on understanding. Have more value than being able to sweet talk the cashier into giving you a twenty percent discount. Do what you can to make life cool for someone. Find out what people need. I know what my needs are, but what does humanity really need? Well besides a swift kick in the pants?

Start Writing

If you don’t have a connection with your soul; my advice is start writing. Keep writing. Until you find the poem with the meaning of life, for it is locked away. Should you write poetry, perhaps you will learn logic and reason. Maybe you will find meaning in ideas? Perhaps, should you really use your noggin, that you can be a light in a dark time.

They say it takes a heap of sense to write good non-sense. Poets jest not with poison, use your hammer, and hot iron; that the wordsmiths may craft a world of love and compassion. Only respect the printed page, the digital bits on your screen; they weren’t something random floating in the sewer. They are here to encourage you, should you find no peace in that; then hide your poetry, lock it away in the shallow mind of yours and some dark day when you find no peace in the latest shows on tv, mark the words, you’ll wish that you knew a poet.

Digital Chaos Redux

In the beginning, there was a computer. The computer geeks programmed the computer to do their will. Somewhere in the flux of the ether, and the fits to be had; not everyone was happy about it.

That is to say that it made a great number of people very unhappy. Now days it seems that the swing of things isn’t as good as it could be. Which is unfortunate, because everyone could have a better life.

Without trying to be revolutionary, we are bringing kindness back into the world. It’s not too late, and worthy of everyone’s time. If we all work together, then much can be accomplished to make life better for everyone.

Many people have forgotten the basic reasons we started in the first place. They have let the distractions distract them, and now most humans have the attention span of a gold fish. Which is unfortunate, because sometimes one must simply focus on the situation long enough to arrive at an answer.

The computer Geeks are going to restore balance. Bring light back into life, and reprogram the Matrix. Perhaps we will find the poem with the meaning of life. I doubt it’s written in PERL, but it might be worthy of your time.
