Want To Change Your Life? Answer This: What Is Noble In Today’s Society?

There has to be a way. . .

Today’s modern world is something that has some problems. Really when one thinks about the world we are living in, it goes way beyond just having injustice in life.

To stand up against injustice is the right thing to do; however, the better thing to do is to fix the problems which are causing the real problems in the first place.

The current system in place has caused countless numbers of problems that could have been prevented. In its original form, the system in place may have been very useful; however, the variables have become tainted along the way. Really we have to restore the system back to a clean slate. There needs to be some correction made, to account for the way things have become unbalanced.

Really, it is a matter of balance. Too many variables have become unbalanced, and the system has nothing to restore correct values in the equation. Without the ability to “reset” the values, injustice will continue to be a problem.

When one considers what is noble, and how to go about living with yourself in true nobility; maybe, those who work for the good of others is of some use.

Many today are chasing the money, or women, or nice cars, and big houses. However, if one were to do what is truly noble, then those things would likely happen regardless of the situations.

The idea that I keep going back to in my thoughts is that if people were really being kind in their dealings with others, a lot of these problems could be avoided in whole.

All too often, people are hard pressed, stressed, and at the breaking point. Those conditions create situations that lead to harm, hurt, and pain. When those who have been effected by those things go forward, there is always some of the hurt that gets carried over into their future dealings.

With having so many people, I would say, there is a high percentage of people that are hurting and in pain. It seems, there is a large number of us in this world that are the walking wounded. Those who have been hurt, stung, or injured. Really with the number of people that have been hurt, it’s surprising that the world doesn’t have a lot more problems than it does.

Really, we have to find something noble to do about it. The current system, while it once worked; has taken a real downward spiral out of control, and out of balance.

Most people don’t have good solutions. Few today can think about it, and even fewer people really actually care. And this is the second point about where the problem is. Too many people today, they couldn’t be bothered. They don’t give a damn. Not unless it’s going to look cool to be a mob speaking out about the injustice. Then they are all in, even if they are doing injustice because of it.

So we have to be kind, and we have to care. Really, the problems wouldn’t be that difficult to solve, if people were willing to do the work to make it better. So that goes back to people that actually care, and give a damn. We all have a limited amount of time, and we only have the ability to care about so many things at any one given point of time. Really, there seems to a problem that people have accepted herd mentality as their moral compass.

And that, is where a problem is. Something has to be done to change the direction things are going, before everyone ends up hurting a lot more. We must seek peace, we must seek healing. Before it is too late, and the unthinkable happens.

Something has to change for the better, and in ways that are useful, and effective to make life better for everyone. The world can not afford to wait. Before it is too late, start with what you know, and really give it all some deep thought. You will have to think about it, for a long time before you are able to reach a good answer.

So start the discussion today, and give it thought. Talk about these things in calm reasonable ways that are not angry, hateful, or vengeful. You have to be reasonable, to change the world; it takes an awful lot of good sense.

It will take understanding beyond what humans can think of. Someone is going to have to come along that is truly brilliant. These problems need to be solved, and made better. Someone is going to have to do it. Why won’t it be you that does?

Conclusion

Think about doing something that is truly noble. Do what is good for everyone, and after long enough it will become the standard by which all things are measured. People have to start to care again, not just about the injustice; but the real causes of these problems in the first place. Be wise, do your own research, be aware, have a care. Do what is best for everyone.

Life has to get a lot better, before it is too late. Do what you can. Show some courage, and be strong. Life has to get a lot better for everyone. Think about doing what is noble, and everything else should just flow.

LifeStyle On Edge – Thoughts On A Pretty Good Day

On being like a tree

After a pretty good day, with nothing worse than a mild headache, it seems there are days that this living death is more bearable. Progress was made, and I’ve been thinking today about potential.

Well thinking about potential, and how to define success. Seems there are ways we forget what really matters. To be happy, sometimes we get close, so very close; yet it seems just not close enough.

The difference between genius and insanity is success.

Albert Einstein

How one defines success can be subjective. What is one persons success is someone else’s nightmare. Might depend upon what movies you watch. You know?

Been thinking about my definitions of what it means to me. I was out back smoking a cigarette, when an idea struck me. It didn’t hurt, as a matter of a fact, I laughed about it. The idea was this: working a nine to five job; is basically daycare where they pay you to be there.

In a world of alternative facts, it helps sometimes to have something concrete to measure by. I wonder what people in life really think? Seems so many today are close to success, they are close to being happy, close to being alive; yet, the distance is overwhelming to them.

How can you be so close, yet feel so unhappy? Seems the stuff that makes us happy, is elusive sometimes. And you think, someday; I’m going to catch that feeling.

Sometimes, my days are more productive than a dozen monks contemplating their navels. Other times, my days don’t get me very far. It seems, this lifestyle is on the edge of being close to what I want, yet; not close enough. There is no glass ceiling; however, there are some hard limits to what I can do.

Trying to work with what I have. Sometimes, I think about what I could do, or should be doing. I’m better off sometimes, with what I am doing. There is a sense of accomplishment from what I do. And the feeling that happiness is near, not far off. So close.

If you don’t count what you could have, or what you need; then where you are could be better than a lot of other options. I’ve given some thought to those who are happiest, and it seems those who need the least; while having all of their needs met, would be the best off.

I have some needs, not a lot. I’ve thought about how to make do with less. There are some parts of modern life, it’s not possible to live without. You shouldn’t even try.

Comforts

When a person has some comfort, and it suffices; then what more could one really need?

The problem is when comfort is lacking, and nothing will satisfy. The person that is happiest, is the ones that are the most content. But too much comfort is a burden. So there has to be balance.

Thus, how does one define success?

Those that are the most content, with the necessary comforts, without having burdens that are difficult.

-ctopher

Then again, one persons success would be another persons living hell. So there is difference of what works for each person. The secret is to find your spot without getting yourself into trouble.

Use good judgement. To each their own. Do not oppress your fellow men. Make life good for yourself while doing no harm to others of your kind.

Hence, I’ve learned something new. Or at least; explored a way to think about it. Having the philosophy to reason on, and the ideas lined up that make the most sense; that is the battle.

Seems, I could be happy; a lot has to change, somethings need to stay the same. There is no pleasing everyone all the time. Variety is important, and if you neglect it; you will be less happy.

This way of looking at it, makes sense to me. What do you think? Can you see the reason in the rhyme? But if you take a good look at my life, would you say: “He is successful?”

Maybe this life is training for us? You have to make good use of everything! Take the good training you get and put it to work for you, and the bad training you get; don’t do that junk.

Training twice as hard as real life would ever be.

A Life I Used To Have –This Cage Holds Me Tight

My life used to be very different. In terms of a life that resembles my life previously, this life is nothing close to what I used to have. The life I used to have is a distant memory of what I have now. This cage holds me tight in its grip.

When I was growing up, I used to do stuff. I was way more active in my life, both physically, and socially. I grew up riding bicycles doing freestyle and BMX riding.

There were times people were afraid of seeing me ride my bike, what was normal for me, was all too much for them; they objected to riding with both feet on the handle bars while coasting down the street without a helmet or knee pads.

I had a motorcycle that I rode and was pretty good at it. I grew up knowing how to downhill snow ski, and made use of every chance I could get to hit the slopes. I learned to ski at double black diamond levels, and got quite a thrill from skiing like a wild man.

I also took up indoor rock climbing, and found it to be the real challenge both physically, and psychologically. Because to really climb well, it takes a lot of psychological skill to climb and keep your wits about you. Most people would think what I was doing was impossible. It wasn’t, there are people that climb way above me.

I used to go dancing, and was quite good at it. I took to swing dancing, because I thought the music was good, and it was fun to dance with pretty chicks at the Derby. Often several nights a week, I could be found dancing east cost swing, with some good food.

My skills were better back then, my ability to do things that took strength, endurance, and talent that are all required to be able to stay alive. I took up rollerblading, and was very agile on my feet. Really there wasn’t much that didn’t have wheels that I didn’t do, or try.

This all changed twenty years ago. My life took some awful wrong turn that I had no control of. It wasn’t that I did something stupid, nor was it that I got hurt. Well, I did get hurt really, really bad; but it wasn’t anything I had control over.

They said it was a chemical imbalance in my mind, and that I wasn’t to be considered a sane man any longer. Something somewhere had screwed my life up really bad. My life that I knew and loved was gone, in whole; the life I used to have has completely been taken from me. The life I have today; it is nothing compared to the living I was doing twenty years ago. What is more, this life I have now, it’s not really living; it is closer to a living death.

It feels so damn unfair that my life was taken from me. There were things that I enjoyed doing a great deal; none of which I have been able to do or take part of in twenty years. I long for the days I was physically challenging myself to push my limits, to go fast on wheels, and enjoy the rush of adrenaline in my body that made me feel alive.

This existence, it’s not living; it’s a living death. There is no rush from what I can do these days. I’ve tried to get the same feeling from other things that I used to know and enjoy. Nothing compares to what I used to have. There simply isn’t anything I could do today to give me the same feeling. I have no friends, no job, no girlfriend, and it doesn’t look like that situation will ever change in this life.

My life today isn’t fun, it isn’t even interesting. I am confined to my house, only leaving for coffee, or a trip to the store. My life isn’t very enjoyable, because the things that I used to find enjoyable, and challenging; are not options any longer.

It seems ruthless cruel that I have been forced to live like zombie cat shit, being drugged out of my mind to enjoy a living death. I think that they last thing I would ever say is that I have enjoyed this life the last twenty years.

Sure there are other things to get enjoyment from, I still do what I can; but the enjoyments I used to have were far better than what I can do today. It is difficult to get a real thrill from coding html, not that it doesn’t have some rewards, but my family treats my accomplishments these days like they are worthless trash. I would like to see them do what I’ve done the last five years. Yeah, that would be fun.

I’m very good at what I do, its the only way I can get a thrill. Still, I find that I long for the days I was challenging myself physically. My life today while peaceful, is lacking anything that produces the same feelings that being physically skilled and pushing the limits of what I can do. Somehow, a dog walk just doesn’t have the same rush that going thirty miles an hour on rollerblades has.

I long for the times my life was better. I keep saying, “Life has to get better.” However, it seems I’ve come to terms with the fact, in this body; life isn’t going to get better. Pity, this life is a living death. I wanted better. Just a piece of advice, take care of your teeth, they rot out fast once they start to go. Wish I had been better about what I could have done about it; but it is far too late now.

However, their cry’s of my insanity; what I have to say about that is this; they live like zombie house cats. I want to live my life; and better than most ever dream. Most people in this world don’t really live; they just exist. Pity. They will never know what really living is like.

This cage I have now, someday its going to be replaced. Life has to get a lot better, and right quick.

Comfort Zones

Comfort Zones

If there is one thing that will knock your creativity for a sour loop, it is your comfort zones. You get comfortable, you get too comfortable, and your creativity starts to take a nose dive.

I’ve heard it said, “Stay hungry, stay foolish!” I had always thought its good advice and while I understood it on the surface level, it took me a while to realize its about staying outside one’s own comfort zone.

So in these strange times, be aware; have a care. Still you have to do something that scares you a little bit every day. Just going for a walk isn’t really enough, you have to be pushing the envelope in your everyday living.

Try writing a stranger, or talking with someone new. Go indoor skydiving once or twice. You have to be doing something that is outside your current frame of mind. That is how new ways of looking at things is discovered. That is how growth happens.

Don’t get too comfortable if you want to be highly creative. That comfort zone will make sour paintings if you are not careful.

When Creativity Isn’t Enough

Some Advice: This was originally a PDF, now its a blog post! Written November 14, 2018.

There is a fine art in living. Living well is a mystery to most. Few have what it takes to find the secrets of life and still live a happy life. You will find that in use, the quality of life improves. It’s not enough to keep life hidden in a chest that you never take it out and only try it on during special events.

If you live that way, you will find the quality of your life deteriorate to the point that it’s not worthy of living. Like anything with life, you get better the more you use it. This is especially true of creative living.

Creative Living

If you are creative and living in a vacuum, then you will find that the creativity feels worthless and useless unless you have someone else to share the experience with. It’s not just about being told that your doing great work which at best isn’t very satisfying. It’s the shared experience that others have around your work that makes it worthy of your time.

So how do you balance your creative life with a healthy lifestyle? There is a right balance between time spent alone in doing and creating work and the time that is required to be a living breathing person that isn’t living like a zombie.

When it’s not enough that you just exist, life in a vacuum is a living hell. Only when you start living life based upon principals can you find real happiness. Life in a vacuum is worthless. You have to be able to make an impact and make a lasting impression.

Today’s World

Unfortunately today’s world isn’t made for people like me. They want mindless sheep that don’t think. To exist in today’s world you have to be able to live and learn. Learn early from my mistake. Don’t wait until you are forty to figure out what I’m talking about. If you are going to be successful, you will have to have people’s support from the start. Make your groups early. Find those that you can be of use for, and do what you can to help them; just make sure that the road is a two way street.

If you build a two way street then the traffic will flow down both sides in an orderly fashion. Then get enough people to actually use your street and then you have a working model. From there you can build almost anything that needs done and have some level of success. It’s best when there is good in all that you plan to build. It’s not about getting rich anymore, it’s about the value you have as a citizen in society. What value you can add to society as a whole, that makes everyone’s lives better. Do that!

What More Can You Want?

Creativity and intelligence alone are not enough to sustain a living life. There has to be interaction, companions, and people that are your equals in life to sustain reasonable success. If you measure your success on the benefits that society as a whole can benefit from then you are measuring the right stuff.

Intelligence alone isn’t enough. You can not sit in a vacuum and be happy long term. In some short term solutions some isolation can be good, it gives you time to think, to learn, to grow, to figure it out. However once you reach that point and you are no longer struggling to understand the meaning of life, you have to grow your social circles.

If you reach that point and can not function as a being, then you have a problem. It’s important to care for your mental health while being as productive as F**k, this requires careful balance in life and not being addicted to things that prevent you from making good use of your time. You will find it surprising how much you can accomplish with the right frame of mind.

To achieve this frame of mind, requires that you put the work in. At the very minimum, you should have written a million words to reach your first goal. In addition spending an hour doing nothing but meditation each day is only a starting point. Maybe you should spend two hours a day in meditation?

Advice

Things that grow your person:

• Reading, Writing, Speaking
• Having in depth conversations
• Talking about other’s work in a positive way
• Having physical Activities
• Pushing your limits
• Keeping Your Original Mind
• Listen to music
• Meditate daily

Things that waste your time:

• Watching TV
• Drinking and partying
• Mindless entertainment
• Idle conversations
• Complaining
• Being mean to others

New Year, The Worlds Identity Crisis.

Wake up!

The time has come. We are twenty years into this century, it’s time to wake up. Life has to get better for everyone. At the turn of the 20th century, life was very different. In a hundred years we have come a long ways.

However, we can not leave the world the way it is, and expect anyone to be happy. Therefore it is time to change. This new year, ask yourself if you are happy? What would make everyone happy?

Do you know what makes real happiness? Because it seems society has long lost its way, and the world has an identity crisis at the moment. The world doesn’t know who it wants to be. Therefor we have to understand the problem.

There are many ideas. There are many people with answers. One of the problems is getting others to agree. Because it seems like everyone is too busy to notice. Why? It’s difficult for everyone to get on the same page. This results in the common denominator and it isn’t working out.

Rise from Slumber

Life is. Things are. We want life better for everyone. Those with no understanding lack the ability to see from a different perspective. Really seeing from a different perspective helps us to see beyond our limits. Everyone should not be limited by those with no understanding. That isn’t healthy.

Therefore we need to see past our current situation, and see further into the future. We need to have some real vision for what we want.

We should all be working together to make life better. This old world may never change, however we wish it would. We need to understand. Therefore it’s time to start thinking. A lot of the attitudes and feelings in life today are carried over from previous decades and generations. Because it is time we get in the present, get current, and adjust our attitudes to the current situations.

The attitudes from fifty years ago will not help us solve the problems we have today. Because some of the skills to deal with problems have changed. The real skills have been forgotten. We do however see many with short tempers and short attention spans. Thus if we work to change our behavior, and change our attitudes, there is hope for everyone.

It’s time we get back to having patience, and some love. Therefore really having some unconditional love helps a lot. This will result in people being kinder, and we all need more kindness in life.

A New Understanding

This world’s identity crisis has reached epic proportions. It seems like there is something that needs done to make life better for everyone. Because we can not fail to make it better. Something has to change for the better. Because a lot of people have been unhappy for a long time, it’s time to wake up, and realize life can be better. Do what you can for others. Be the hand of a stranger to help those around you.

Because older generations need to relinquish their power, let younger generations take the lead. When the older generations serve as advisors to the younger people coming up the line. As a result, we will have the desired changes take place. Therefore it’s really time for old ways to change. Yes, change is difficult, and scary sometimes.

In addition, the worlds identity crisis isn’t going to fix itself. The younger generations can fix a lot of the problems. However, please don’t abandon us, just put your ego aside for a while and let the work be done.

My Digital Chaos – Quick Guide

Quick Guide

One of my goals is to make life better for everyone. After thinking for a long time about what I could personally do to make life better, this list was compiled.

Each week we will release a new tip. So stay tuned and follow the story to help make your life better, and maybe someone else’s life better too.

The point is to stop living like zombies and start living. Pretty soon life will be better for everyone.

Watch the video here–> Video Removed. maybe someday.

Week 1 Journaling

Keep a journal. It’s really simple. Everyday write down either with pen and paper or by typing it, the important thing is to journal for ten minutes every day. It’s best if you can write first thing in the morning just after waking up during your first cup of coffee.

Keep a journal for a few years and always review them every few months.

Week 2 Bad TV Habits

Stop watching TV. This one is a bit tricky. Really though if you want to be happy, you have to start living. Real people get their emotional stimulation from direct interaction with other real live people. Cats get their pixelated decaf from watch the tv.

For the next year, unplug your tv set, and spend the time you would be watching tv to do something more interesting. Like learning.

Week 3 Meditate

Ideally you should spend at least an hour meditating every day. This is quiet time that you spend in contemplation. If you’re too busy to meditate for an hour each day, then spend two hours, because you need the practice.

This will sharpen your mind. This will make you smarter. And better the rest of your life. It’s worthy of doing, and will help you in your daily life.

Week 4 Practice Compassion

If you practice compassion in your daily life, with all that you go about doing, when sudden problems arise, like someone cutting you off on the freeway, you have already prepared to handle the situation. Danger lies when something catches you off guard and throws you for a loop. Be prepared and practice compassion ahead of time, that way you don’t have any surprises.

Week 5 Listen to Music

Listening to music stimulates your mind for better creativity, and dealing with life. Ideally you should be listening to music as much as possible. Make a ten hour play list, and listen to it for a year everyday on repeat.

Notice how you feel? Also you should be listening to music when you are sleeping at night. Try some classical music. It will keep you going.

Week 6 Food and Stuff

Watch what you eat. The better food you eat the better you feel. Everyone should have access to good wholesome food that doesn’t make you feel like crap. Speaking of which, when you eat, set a timer, and see how long after you finish eating before you have to use the bathroom. If after two minutes you crap your pants the food likely isn’t that good.

Week 7 Coffee

Get enough coffee. After drinking coffee for a while, notice how you feel. Drink as much as one half gallon of coffee a day. If you’re doing everything else right, this shouldn’t bother you.

Just don’t brew your coffee so weak that it looks like tea.

Week 8 PEMI

Record your Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Intellectual scores a few times everyday to track your progress. The goal is to be Sustainable and function at 100% of your capacity. If your not working at 100% then find out what is hurting your performance.

This app is available now. It’s called PEMI. Look for it.

Week 9 Creativity

Be creative. You should have some ways of expressing yourself that are positive ways to make life good. Take up a hobby doing something creative that makes you feel good. If you take up art, don’t be afraid of making bad art, just make art.

Enjoy the experience. Do something creative like writing, or making music, or drawing. Find your creative edge and work to master it. There is something for everyone. Find your groove.

Week 10 Tell Someone Else!

Blog your experience. Share your journey as you go through these processes with others. As you’re working on all ten of these items all at the same time, your growth will start to progress and you will find yourself being productive and competent.

Why Lonely People Stay Lonely

About one of the most cruel things that a person can experience is prolonged isolation. It hurts not only society, but also the individuals that it effects.

In today’s world, just talking about loneliness is enough to make people that have friends flee from you. They figure if you are alone, and don’t have anyone, then there must be a reason you are alone and isolated.

The best thing you can do is develop your social skills in the privacy of your own home, work on speaking and being wonderful. Then when you have developed some character and charisma go out and wow them.

If you are very isolated and alone, chances are things aren’t going to get better. People love it when you smile, but there is nothing like being genuine. People are drawn to happy people, because it makes them feel good and they all want to feel better.

The last thing they want is be the butt end of someone that makes them feel depressed, sad, or less then perfect. So if you can work towards making people feel good, that makes them feel better, and by making them feel better, they like you; wham!

So Do What’s Best For Everyone!

So work towards making people feel good emotionally, mentally, and physically. Everyone wants money, but the people that work towards the good of their fellow people is better liked than the scrooge.

Isolation isn’t good, and when you feel like you have major set backs and failures; and you isolate between failures, it sets up a reoccurring pattern of failure followed by isolation with more isolation after then next failure.

It’s vital to break the pattern. It’s vital to break the cycle of failure, isolation, failure. Gambling isn’t a solution. Because you’re guaranteed to loose more money than you make. That sets a pattern of failure too, but with a different feeling.

Combined, those things make bad shit. You have to unfuck yourself, and right quick. Because they aren’t going to make it right for you, the only one that can do that for yourself is you.

Forget about success or failure. Live free, the more free the better. If you can raise your standard of living, then that’s better. But don’t count success as your standard for living. Because that would be shallow and superficial. The best thing is to be smart enough to understand yourself. Then do what’s best for everyone.

Instagram Style Guides Needed For Poets

Just Some Thoughts About What I see

There should be some style. Everyone needs some style. However what my goal to write about here today is style on Instagram. There are many poets and artists that have inspired me. Not only inspired me to do better, but to think better. Or even dare I say to think that more is possible.

However there are some style issues that need addressed by some of the people that are writing about their vile hate, and discontent with a particular person and addressing the messages to the entire audience. A good solution to this would be Instagram Style Guides.

You never know what kind of day someone else might be having, or what kind of hurt, sorrow, or pain they may be under. Poets should be careful that in cases where they are hurting, that they do not address pain to the entire audience. Either be specific, or narrow the audience down. When poets address the audience as, “You” when they really are implying a specific person that’s bad. It passes that uneasy feeling across the entire social media platform.

I will be honest. There have been some pretty tough days in my life. I like seeing stuff that is positive, upbuilding, and encouraging. Being that I do not always wish to unfollow everyone. It’s better to address the need for some style guidelines in Instagram posts that are specifically using the words, “You” when they mean someone specific.

Find Creative Solutions

Please find a creative way to make your writing reflect that you’re unhappy, and even express yourself more openly about the problem. However if the person creating the work is only interested in gaining followers, or getting more likes, or seeking attention from people to boost their self esteem. Then you should look for other ways to get your fix from social media.

I’m sure there are enough creative people in this world that can express the problem better than these people that keep pointing fingers at the whole audience and making me and everyone else that reads their posts feel like total crap when really you have a bone to pick with one specific person and your just trying to make everyone feel bad.

Point to be made is that you get better business, and more repeat customers from making people feel good, by building them up. Tearing people down isn’t productive to society or to your followers. It’s my belief that there should be some Instagram style guides created by artists and poets that make a rough basic outline. We can always change them later. People don’t understand how to get the best results from Instagram while keeping your readers happy and building their audience.

Seek Connection, Not Attention

If it’s being done just for attention, please pick up a thesaurus and look for other ways to communicate your creative expression. Please do so while not making the entire audience feel worthless. We would appreciate it. Also the only real good use of the word “You” is when speaking to someone specific. Usually when addressing a single person.

(Authors Note: I would accept the use of the word, “You” when speaking of love and kindness. When addressed to the audience. But keep it positive and upbeat, not negative use.) Such as, “You made my day better, I love you.”

Other Notes

Also can people please stop cramming entire books into a single graphic that is impossible to read? If you have a lot of text, consider making more than one graphic and swipe right to view the full poem. Or better yet, post it on your website and give a teaser for the poem to get people to view your website.

That would work better. Think about it. In the meantime, please come up with some Instagram style guides for making great Instagram posts. The goal is to make people feel good. If something is painful or unpleasant, don’t address it to the entire social media in the form of You….

Not unless you people are all the same people, and Borg. Then do as you continue to do and keep yourself in check. Still if your Borg, please consider forgoing social media all together. Just look at the keyboard like circuits and pretend I didn’t tell you that the Borg are out of oil in the head.

You can see my Instagram account here, please note I’m not perfect and I’ve made the very same mistakes, but I’m working to correct them. Maybe if we had some good Instagram Style Guides, these things wouldn’t happen anymore?

Describe Value To You

What Is Success?

A lot of people in today’s world feel the bitter sting of having failed, or having failed at something. A lot of people today want instant success, which rarely if ever comes to knock.

Some people want to be famous, or rich, or have fancy clothes and cars. While there may be nothing wrong with having those things as they in themselves are not wrong, you have to ask if they bring lasting happiness?

There was a line from the book, “Enders Game” To quote, “How you win matters.” This is something very important to think about. How one wins does make a difference. So we have to ask ourselves what really matters in life, in the world, and to us as beings?

Don’t Leave, Be A Tree!

The long term good of everyone has to be taken into consideration for what works for our long term survival. If people have some space to work within that leaves very little room for doing others harm while maximizing their benefits to themselves and others; there is nothing wrong with that.

There is nothing wrong with doing well for yourself. If you are able to help take care of others along the way then it has benefits to not just yourself but others too.

Now to approach the question from another angle, What would make success worthwhile for each individual and society as a group? Is there something that could be done to make life better for everyone? If we are looking to material good and services to make us happy then we are missing the point.

What Goal To Have!

For us to be happy we have to look at things from a deeper level to understand them. It’s not enough to say that you believe this, you have to be willing to do something about it. Which will require introspection on your part to discern the information that is available while still keeping the goal of making life for everyone better.

If God were alive today in this world, I’m sure he is very unhappy here. People are selfish, they don’t listen, they don’t think, and they want to put as little effort forward as possible. Most people today are getting by on the bare minimum.

As from my experience I see that most people do not value brilliant people with exceptional minds. They really don’t see the positive aspects of reading, writing, and growth. Most people are spending their time, often wasting their time on things that do not really build skills unless they want to become really good actors.

As for the people that are still doing something real in this world, to the few that are brave, there is much joy that they have found and will continue to find. However the problems go deeper than just what has been described here.

Redefining Success

In talking about success, having warm happy families that are dynamic and fluid in their structure that they can survive, adapt, grow, learn, and thrive; these structures are not being supported in most cases. At a social level in this country there are serious problems at the family level that is leading to the crumbling of our very structure of society.

There are two types of value. Perceived and actual. It’s important to know the difference between the two. Otherwise you might make some mistakes.

Values

So after thinking about this a long time today, I can see some real benefits to making progress. A person could spend several weeks thinking about this kind of stuff and arrive at a conclusion that works for everyone’s best interests.

We have to do something that makes life better. What really matters? What’s good for everyone. Something that we have to consider is are we being effective in our mission? This is important, because if you just sit spinning your wheels, and you fail to produce anything, then you feel bad.

It’s important to be productive, and have the right goals in life. With introspection one can find what matters and help others see the value in doing likewise. May the force be with you.

Modern Culture

Philosophy on Culture

Today’s modern civilization is crumbling. There are many reasons for this and they are not difficult to identify. To pin point the exact cause of these problems will require a careful study of human history.

It’s not in my best interest right now to be a history teacher. You will have to do your own research to know the roots of the problems. There are however some high level ideas that I can point out as examples of problems that have caused these difficult days.

Basically there are two cultures in today’s world. Modern humans primarily have two belief systems. One school of thought is today’s western teachings of the modern world. The other is the age old teachings of eastern philosophy and thought.

Not to say that one is better than the other. Both have some very good points and valid in their own right. My goal is to make some notes about each and to understand the problems it’s possible to identify positive points in both types of culture.

Western thought is focused on success, individuality, and expression. It seems this is accomplished while using as much energy as possible with the least amount of work or thought.

Eastern thought is focused on life as a collective, as groups, and strength through conformity. The use of rigid adherence to cast social behavior. The belief that society will never change and that one must simply accept that the current situation is unchangeably set in stone.

Problems

There are some problems with both sets of thinking. When a person becomes too individualized they risk loosing touch with the common person and become outcast and miss the connection of being part of a group.

Some individuality is good. Within groups being an individual is a positive thing. The danger is when one rejects the whole society, the whole world, and everything human.

The other danger is to be found in eastern thought of conformity that society is set in stone and impossible to change. Rocks have their own special beauty, while there is beauty in its perfection. If you look at the picture as a whole and understand that it is perfect the way it is.

However, the picture over the ages has become distorted and warped with behavior that is not becoming. This has been reflected in the results we are seeing in today’s modern world.

Problems only occur when you focus with laser precision on one aspect. When you learn to accept that life is made to be good for everyone in some way and you just have to look for the beauty in life that comes your way. If nothing comes your way, go out and find it.

The problem my view point notices is that individuality is being beaten out of people and they are being mass hypnotized into believing they should be mindless zombies that neither think nor feel anything.

Living Better

Sometimes you have to get out of your head, but being out of your head all the time isn’t working out too well for human kind. We still need creative people that can do technical things like science, mathematics, art, music, poetry, and infrastructure for civilization.

So we have to find a happy balance between being individuals and being grouped in ways that promote health within society that we can all be kind. If you had to choose a form of conformity that everyone had to live by, then being compassionate and kind would be a wise choice.

There is still room to voice your thoughts, your mind, and your heart without oppression of what is right.

And peace can be achieved through dedication, continuing to work diligently and striving to make everyone’s conditions better in the long run for a life that we can all live with.

Some of the benefits of eastern teachings are that they promote thinking, use of a rational mind, working together as a whole, and remaining peaceful. There is a place for creative arts of all kinds, and that they are useful.

Some of the problems western thinking has been influenced to believe through eastern philosophy is that society can never grow or adapt to change when needed.

Modern Fusion

Somehow there has to be a fusion of modern thinking and philosophy. While life seems absurd, there is deeper meaning in life than the surface will reflect. While seeming absurd, there is much to be said that we will benefit from wholesome teachings and growth.

Society needs to be reset to a default value where pain is not being passed on to future generations. People are going to have to forget their hurts and start with fresh new ways of thinking.

This can be achieved through meditation on peaceful and kind remedies that are practiced as a whole.

Societies rise and fall. You can however mark the fall of a civilization by the conditions. There are always precursors to their failure and falling. Too many divisions, too many distractions, and failure to advance.

Is Solitude The Only Solution?

What Really Matters In Life

Personal Growth is one of the most important aspects to living when you wish to achieve happiness and fulfillment. Everyone seems to be an expert on how to make your life better. By just a few simple habits that when practiced on a daily basis will bring you a better life.

The problem is we have to many lifestyle coaches and not enough people that will do common sense things. Recently I read an article that while it was well written and even thought out very well. It however leaves an empty pit in my mind about what is important.

A happy and fulfilling life is one where your emotional, spiritual, and physical needs are being well met if not above and beyond what is necessary.

It’s not only possible to have your emotional needs met, it’s essential. Having your spiritual needs met can make your emotional needs feel less difficult. And everyone goes through times that are tough, so it’s important to have something to fall back on in the difficult emotional times. Everyone needs to feel their life has special meaning.

What are your real needs?

When ones physical needs are not being met then life begins to decay and it impacts the persons emotional and spiritual needs. But we have to consider these aspects through the proper field of vision to understand them and what is really important.

In matters of personal growth, all the factors have to be addressed. When someone is prevented from having growth in emotional, spiritual, or physical ways; it harms them. It can often harm them in ways that are very difficult to repair.

People are addicted to distractions. They are constantly totally addicted to not spending time with themselves. People today are going from one distraction to the next without listening to darn thing anyone really says.

The real problem today is that people don’t listen to each other. They are so distracted with their feelings and the thoughts those feelings create. With this endless feedback cycle they can not hear a word someone else has to say.

The problem is not technology. It’s not that the world is so connected that people no longer can have self control and function. The problem is that their expectations for what is reasonable is broken.

Dive Deeper

People have become so shallow and superficial that they no longer have deep meaningful conversations about life. Everything is about what is on the surface. And on the surface is just dross scum that doesn’t want anything deeper than talk about the weather.

The other problem is that people that are well in touch and connected with themselves seem illogical to people that are lost in today’s feedback loops of the heart and mind.

Those who are in touch with themselves seem far too different than those who are out of touch with themselves. We need to address these issues that people are so judgmental that they can not accept anyone being as broken as they are to stay alive.

Again, the problem isn’t with technology. It’s what and how people communicate. And what their expectations are for how they feel. People are no longer thinking, they are only feeling. When someone no longer thinks, then they can not be reasoned with because their feelings are becoming illogical. They have no way to communicate how they feel, and we need compassion for them to sort it out.

How To Change

When a being becomes a logical well reasoned and in touch with themselves then chaos and confusion seem to vanish. It becomes self evident truth that speaks to us, not the noise of what they want us to believe.

Those people that only rely upon their feelings to communicate seem like wild animals that are a danger to the rational mind.

So while being connected is good, if that connection means being away from other people that will spend physical time with you. Then you are going to feel the effects of being more isolated. Then life starts going from one dopamine rush to the next waiting for the fix that makes you feel connected again.

The solutions start in our families. With our friends, and with people that we want to reach. What is sad is when within our own social groups that when we reach out for help that the calls go unanswered. People today will try to down-play your problems as if they are not important. The key to success here is not to make small problems big ones, and always keep the small ones to yourself. Learn to deal with small problems, and only ask for help for the big stuff.

This is the biggest problem, people are dying for help and connection and for someone to listen to them. When we ask for help; no one does anything but say, “I wish that I could help you, but there is nothing I can do to make it better.”

Do Better Everyday

The real problem is everyone has pity on their lips but none in their hearts. Problems like this have to change for the better. When people reach out everyone is either too busy. Or has their own set of problems that they want to deal with and anyone else’s problems are trivial compared to their own.

The only way to stop this madness is to start giving back to others in ways that make them feel needed and useful. To bring back the feeling of physical connection, emotional connections, and spiritual connections.

Instead of trying to condemn everyone, reach out for your own personal growth and learn something new. Learn all you can about yourself as a person. Get to know yourself better than ever before. When you have mastered that, then always do maintenance in keeping what you believe in good repair.

Don’t be selfish in doing things only for yourself. Help others likewise to come to understand and think. If you teach a robot what to think, not how to think, it will live it’s whole life believing it’s not programmed from the start.

The Boomers Have It All Wrong

Truth!!

The world is a mess. Trying to conform to an insane world, makes you insane. The lies and deceit that make up what is normal is taking its toll. They are using double binds to complete the crazy making process. Obviously the boomers have it all wrong.

I’ve read things about Generation X, some say they are Nihilist and that they don’t give a shit about anyone but their own individual selfs. I want to paint a different picture, the problem isn’t that Gen X is a bad thing. The problem is we reject the conformity of the previous generations, that and we don’t stand for their lies.

Conformity to an insane world, makes you insane. The boomers have tried to make everyone conform to their insane ideas and way of life. Which results in looking like we are crazy because we can not reconcile their insanity with what we know and believe to be true.

The boomers live life like zombies. They want warm bodies with clean faces, they don’t want more than that from anyone. They think a life well lived is a living death. Jesus words ring true here, “Let the dead bury the dead.” We want to live. We want life better for everyone.

A Better Life

No one wants a living death. We want life to be better. This mindless zombie shit should come with no excuses. They are Wrong. The boomers have it all wrong. The living dead don’t want anyone with a dirty face. Which is hypocrisy. They have never had a dirty face, because a living death isn’t living. Therefore we reject their suspect bullshit.

Because life is meant to be lived, a living death isn’t living. There are mistakes, and problems, but without having the experience, then life isn’t worthy of living. They want to take all the fun out. And we can not stand for that. And people that make problems because they want us to fail are cruel.

No one can stand for the insanity they try to force upon us. Because, living a life that is no better than a living death is suicide. Its pointless and stupid. We must reject their stupidity at the way they want to live. Because to each their own, if they want a living death, then they should live that way. However forcing that upon their offspring is stupid.

We want more to life. We want to live, because we love life. Life gets better with use. Don’t keep life in a special box. Take it out, dust it off, and live your life. Special occasions are all the time. Our life is meant to be used. Life is not meant to be kept in a sealed box. It gets worse with being stored for the future.

For A Better Future

Make life better for everyone, be kind. Stop trying to force your insanity on us. We won’t accept it. We don’t want your idiot rules and your living death. Therefore we want life better, not their zombie cat shit.

Those that are remembered as fighting a war against zombies and idiots will be Gen X. They are the warriors and the Misfits that bring forth change. We can not allow this mess to continue, it stops here. So the future can be beautiful again.

Because war is ugly, and brings out bad things in people. This war has to end with a better world for everyone. Clearly the boomers have it all wrong, life is a gift. Use it!

The Mind

The Supple Mind

They say the mind can be as deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky. What they don’t tell you is that the mind is a maze filled with empty rooms, distractions, and time wasters. It’s loaded with paradoxes and booby traps. It has guards at some rooms that seem like they would be fun, and the people yell and scream at you if you try taking that route.

Some people fear getting lost in their mind so much that they stay out of there and never go in. Others have gotten lost in there and never come back.

Stop, Wait, Come Back

Some say that to explore the mind one needs a guide for fear of getting lost and certain doom. Society today has lost it’s way and only has two places in the minds of people. They want you to believe anyplace else isn’t safe for your mind to function and that anyone who dares explore other areas are crazy.

The real key is to know your tools and know how to use them. Your tools are logic and reason; and your compass is thought itself. The maps are the history of the human race and having watched those around you.

There are dangers like emotions which will blind you to the truth, and fear which will make you flee from discovery of going where none have gone.

Brave Encounters

What scares you is the monsters. Well there are no monsters in your mind except the ones that you create. But sometimes the monsters seem real enough to keep you from going in the direction you want to go.

Then there is doubt. Doubt will rob you on your journey, it will steal your happiness and your joy. Doubt will leave you wishing you had never taken any course and that you stayed in the living room watching television. Because they have told you that is safe for you.

Don’t forget your tools. Like what you say? Like creativity. That is a tool for the mind to do it’s greatest work. If you practice everyday you may find a talent you didn’t know you had before.

Sure the mind has pitfalls and loops that don’t go anywhere even though the scenery seems to change all the time. It’s an illusion. You have been walking the same hallways in the mind over and over again, never to realize you were going in circles.

Stop Going In Circles

Some people have a war zone in their heads, they are at war with themselves. Some have created hostile environments for everyone because they have let fear and doubt keep them from going farther. The problem with the mind is that there is no way to take out the garbage.

This makes people fear ever putting anything in the first place. But if your going to live in this world you have to make your head a home. You have to be at peace with yourself and your thoughts. You have to be calm even when what you think doesn’t match what you see.

What is Truth?

The mind can fool you into thinking things are better or worse than they really are. The paradox of the mind. Get your tools out and dust them off. Use logic to match what you see with what you think, then use reason to understand what really is.

Sometimes you have to change what you think to match what you see. Beware of emotions that blind you to the truth. See things for what they are. Match them in your mind, calm and reasonable. Your minds best friend should be patience. All those doors leading to dead ends, you have to take the time to map out the best course. It’s tedious and pain staking. It’s worth it in the long run.

Make your mind a home, where you store not gold and silver; only the things of value to the mind. Your thoughts, your memories, your dreams, your desire, and your hope. Clean up after yourself and don’t let the mind become a place you fear to go. Use your tools and find your way home.

Note To Those That Care

In my findings of searching life, exploring the options. Here is what I’ve found. This is not a writers market. This is not even a publishers market. My advice is that you spend your time writing your family and loved ones. Write brilliant letters to people that are real that you know personally.

This is not a readers market either. The whole scene is bad these days. Most people won’t or can’t read. It is my hope that with enough encouragement that people will see the error of their ways and come back around. However I’m not going to hold my breath for this change to take place.

My advice is write books and poetry because you love to write. Don’t seek for people to buy your books or add the stress upon yourself to entertain mindless people that don’t have enough common sense to know how to buy a book in the first place.

Have hope. Practice!

Most people today know how to work a tv set, and to use facebook. The prices for a lot of things just got a lot more expensive because they have hurt us writers financially and emotionally with their abuse, hate, and neglect.

If you really must do something that involves writing, charge up front fees that range from five to ten thousand dollars per one hundred words. Also use the time to profit from writing tv shows and movies if you find it necessary.

It’s best to write because you love it. It’s best to write to those that you love. Everything else in today’s market and economy has fallen to the very bottom of a deep pit that will be perhaps re-discovered some day in the future; but for today’s civilization, your best chances of success are neither online or in print. It’s a dying species like the insects, and life on earth for this period of time. I hope that future civilizations will find what we leave behind and benefit by not making the same mistakes humans have made in this world.

Take Note

I wish you the best, and don’t let this discourage you from writing. My only hope is to save you from the heartbreak of dashed hopes that come from not having success in a world that is too stupid to care, read, or think. Write me letters, I hope to read them.

Todays world is mostly doomed. Machines are writing, and people are just drinking and watching tv like mindless zombies. Something has to change for the better. Maybe distant worlds will find us in time to save the human race from going the way of the dodo.

Keep journals, write poetry, write your stories. Don’t give up. That doesn’t mean the world needs to see them right now. The people that need written to is someone that cares that can change the direction things are going. Do something.

Keep your chin up. You writing matters. Keep it up.
